Role overview

As a ERM Manager within ST's Corporate Audit & Risk Organisation, you will be responsible for supporting the activities of Corporate Risk in defining and deploying the company ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) roadmap and framework within the wider context of ST's strategic direction. This involves working closely with Executive Management, Corporate functions as well as a global network of ERM professionals ("ERM Champions") and other stakeholders to contribute to ST's overall success.

This position requires the ability to understand the semiconductor industry, relevant regulatory evolutions, ST's business model and strategy as well as strong networking and communication skills.

Tasks include supporting the activities of Corporate Risk in the following dimensions:

Defining and deploying the Corporate Risk Roadmap

- Defining the vision for ST's ERM and for the Corporate Risk function 
- Continuously increasing the strategic relevance of ERM process to enable ST's strategy

Supporting the Company-wide ERM process:
- Supporting to the Corporate Risk Owners in developing suitable risk response plans 
- Writing position papers on emerging risk areas 

Driving the risk management dimension of the company sustainability  agenda, including: 
- Developing strong a working relationship with the CSR/Sustainability team
- Validating the approach for the ESG risk & opportunity assessments related to: 
  • Environment: climate, pollution, water / marine resources, biodiversity / ecosystems, resource use / circular economy;
  • Social: own workforce, workers in the supply chain, affected communities,  consumers, and end users; 
  • Governance: Business conduct.
  • Ensuring that identified physical risks related to climate change are addressed as part of the Site Resilience Improvement Plans 
- Ensuring adequate documentation of risk & opportunity assessment results, as well as associated double materiality

Supporting the Organisation-level ERM process:
- Preparing the annual briefing of Organisation heads (approx. 20) 
- Liaising closely with the network of ERM champions 
- Organising the Annnual convention of ERM champions

Supporting the performance of specific risk assessments 
Supporting the risk disclosures: 

- Contributing to documenting information substantiating disclosures (e.g. regarding TCFD / EU taxonomy / ESRS); 

- Maintaining the risk policies, methodologies and systems: 

- Proposing a vision to further digitalise ERM (data visualisation…); 

- Regularly upgrading Corporate Risk methodologies (e.g. concentration  risk…);

- Maintaining and upgrading the risk information system, and support users. 

Supporting, as needed, the Corporate Resilience Team within the context of ST's five resilience objectives.


About You

Education and certification

Business school / University degree. Post-graduate degree related to Risk  Management an advantage.


Experience

A minimum of 7+ years of professional experience;

Track record in a broad Enterprise Risk Management role, in a diverse, international setting; 

Big four experience is a plus; 

Business continuity and crisis management exposure is a plus. 


Competences

Excellent communication / facilitation skills; 
Ability to develop relationships with colleagues and third parties at all levels  and in various functions, both internally and externally;
Proficient English a must. Other regional languages (e.g., French or Italian) an advantage;
Problem solving and result orientation;
Ability to cope well in a complex and pressured environment; 
Delivery in an accurate, consistent, and complete manner. Ability to drive  consistent and repeatable results with limited supervision; 
Willingness and availability to travel globally.
